Tasting- Caprice de Bastor-Lamontagne

Name:  Caprice de Bastor-Lamontagne
Variety: 60% Semillon, 36% Sauvignon Blanc, 4% Museadelle
Region: Sauternes
Country: France
Year: 2004
Price: $7.95

Winery review: Very clean, with lemon, mineral and honey aromas that follow through to a medium body. Shows vanilla, apple and melon flavors, with a medium finish. Lightly sweet.

My Review:   At first glance this wine had a interesting very golden color, not in any white, blush, or red category color I have seen so far.  The smell was not very sweet almost like a plastic smelling grape or similar fruit.  The taste of this wine was much different then the smell very sweet.  I would definitely consider this a dessert wine.  The sweetness did not taste like it was from a fruit more like a candy type of sweetness.

Food: I did not have this wine with food.
